MetLife Coverage Availability & Fees
MetLife offers a number of different plans, so you will need to set aside a bit of time to review the details of your coverage. In the meantime, we can give you a general overview of how many PPO dental insurance policies work:
- Preventive care, including cleanings, exams, and routine X-rays, is usually 100% covered. Often, the deductible is waived.
- Minor services, typically including simple extractions and small fillings, are usually 80% covered.
- Major services, such as crowns and some types of oral surgery, are often around 50% covered.
Keep in mind as well that your plan may have a waiting period before you can receive coverage for certain restorative services. You may also have an annual maximum, which is the top limit on how much MetLife is willing to pay out for approved services within a calendar year.
